I am pretty sure it is cherry. It has a real reddish hue to it and it feels more like cherry than walnut to me (if that makes sense!). Also, I think the cherry was their standard wood for these wheels.
IKR?! I was on the phone yesterday ordering a new flyer for the wheel and when she said she might want me to send the flyer in to them I was like “But… my… new… wheel…” 😂
Absolutely not!!! If they need it for a warranty or something, you can shop it back when the new one arrives!
No, it’s not for the warranty, it for sizing to make sure it fits. Since the wheel is 22 years old and they’ve changed a couple parts over the years they just want to make sure it is the right size. Alas it is getting shipped off today! 😩
Oh dear. I hope that the shipping timing works right so they get it today and can ship it right back tomorrow.
LOL! It should arrive tomorrow and I’ve been told it shouldn’t be long. And I added 2 more bobbins to my order (because of course I did LOL!).
I am glad the turnaround is so fast. And of course you ordered bobbins, after the whole conversation in the On Your Wheel Thread on Ravelry! I have never used all that I have and I was tempted to pick up a couple!
LOL! I know I have too many for the Lendrum, so I scaled way back for the Schacht Reeves. I think I would have been fine with 5 bobbins, but knowing that the bobbins work on any Jensen wheels (let’s not discuss my thought process there…) *and* it’s a one-man shop, I thought it was a good idea to get a couple more than I need.
Absolutely get more than you need. Worst case you sell them later, right?
Is that Walnut I detect?

Spectacular! That new wheel is gorgeous – so is the yarn!
😬😬😬
Ooh, that swivel and spin thing is really working! You will have that bobbin full in no time. So pretty!

Exactly!
Ps I caught that thought process, FYI! 😉
