This Week in My Dreams

It’s Friday, so it’s time to tell you what I’ve been dreaming about putting on my needles this week. As usual, there have been no shortage of lustful thoughts in the yarny portion of my brain and it’s actually been especially crazed since I finished TWO knitting projects and THREE sewing projects this week (I think it’s like a world record for me).

Mostly though, I’ve been thinking a lot about Hannah Fettig’s Boothbay.

If I’m being truly honest, I basically want to knit every sweater from her Home & Away collection, but today I’m going to focus on this one.

I’ve been back and forth between this yarn…

Fancy Tiger Crafts Heirloom Romney in Huckleberry that I became aware of recently thanks to the Cream City Yarn Instagram account.

The other yarn I think would be fantastic is…

Shelter

  1. I like your choice. It seems very lust worthy. This week I fell in lust for Hyannis Port Pullover by Cecily Glowik MacDonald. I do love turtlenecks in winter.

  2. i got that book too, feel the same way, want to knit everything, i think that brooklyn tweed is beautiful!

    • I actually already have yarn for Lesley, but when I look at my stashed sweater yarns I think, “Oh, that will knit up so quickly….” So my inclination is to buy ahead. It’s not the healthiest of habits!

    • I am pretty sure I want to knit every single item in the book. Hannah Fettig was the first designer to really inspire me to knit sweaters – so neat to still be enjoying her work after all these years!

  3. All the cardigans! My office is still running the AC like it’s 100 degrees out, and it’s not, so I’m looking at all the cardigans I could snuggle in while working in my frigid office!

  4. I recently posted about Boothbay too! I’ve got some heathered Ella Rae worsted, but first I have to finish my Madigan in a rainbow of SweetGeorgia yarns.

    • I think I’ll be digging out some more economical yarn I got a while back to (finally) make my son a sweater. He cherishes handknits, so he certainly deserves one!
