Back to our Regularly Scheduled Program

I haven’t posted any knitting photos in quite a few days — odd for someone who tries to post at least one in-progress photo daily, no? Did I suddenly give up on the craft? Did I simply forget? Did my excess of enthusiasm finally result in spontaneous combustion? While the latter would be as spectacular as it would be tragic, alas none of these scenarios are a reality. The truth is after many moons of knitting and writing exactly what I please when I please with complete transparency, this week came along. This week I found myself working on not one, but two projects that are on the down low. Both have been a lot of fun, working with the best people, and have been oh so hard to keep to myself especially after being so accustomed to sharing my daily progress here. I promise to let you know as soon as they are live or released or whatever we will call it — I’m pretty sure there’s no way you could keep me from doing so. I think you’ll be as excited as I am about them.

In the meantime, I haven’t forgotten about you dear friends. As I neared the end of my hush-hush work my mind started racing, making lists of all the things I am so close to finishing, all the wonderful project I can share with you. I have the perfect buttons just waiting to be sewn onto my Carter Cardigan. An old FO that I’ve never shared just came off the blocking mats. My Deco cardigan needs just one cuff and some button bands. A pair of socks needs but one heel, foot, & toe. And then there’s my wheel that I am an getting anxious to get spinning again.

So many great options and only two hands with which to work. I suppose I have to start somewhere though, right?

I think I’ll start right here.20131016-145736.jpgAnd now, back to our regularly scheduled program.
