I am not all that savvy with the computer & web design hoo-ha — I am never one to have the latest devices. Generally speaking as long as my tech works without too much headache, I’m not fussy. Yesterday after wrapping up a blog post, the kids were playing happily & the dog was sleeping, so I decided to make some minor additions to knittingsarah.com. I realize these changes aren’t Earth-shattering and are roughly 5years behind the times but I’m happy I finally got around to adding them & managed to do so in a way that I think looks nice.
I know y’all are used to seeing the big slideshow gallery front & center. Maybe you’ve noticed, maybe you haven’t, but below & in the far right hand column is my Twitter feed, entitled “Knitting Sarah Says.” Kind of cute, right?
Well, now I’ve added a couple more to the mix.
Just below, “Knitting Sarah Says” is “Knitting Sarah Sees” — my latest Instagram photos. Many of these photos I use later in blog posts to enhance stories, so this area will be a little sneak peak of what might be coming. Sometimes they are just cute pictures of my dog, though, because he is so darn handsome.
Just below “Knitting Sarah Sees” is “Knitting Sarah Reads” — links to my favourite blogs. I read a lot of blogs. A lot. Obviously, I get a ton of inspiration from them and it’s important to me that I can direct people to the same places where I go for great ideas and good reads. Scroll over the links for a very brief explanation of what they are in my own words. If you don’t see your link up here, please feel free to submit a request to be added via my contact page & I will take a look. There’s a fair chance I just missed you. Sorry! Or maybe you just think you write a blog in which I’d be interested. Either way, contact me and I’ll take a look when I can grab a minute.
The only other change to the site is that I migrated the Archives over to the far left column. The ‘Follow me on Facebook‘ and ‘Follow me Via Email‘ buttons remain in the same place, just below the Recent Posts.
I hope you like these changes & that you’ll take a few minutes to check them out. Enjoy!
