It seems August has left my house as quickly as it showed up. Phew! I’m kind of just in awe of my survival.
In spite of my mostly frantic state of existence this month I managed to knit up my August Christmas ball for our knitalong. We don’t have to discuss that I waited until the last week of the month to start or that I photographed it in between raindrops because I simply ran out of time to wait for better conditions. Honestly, I am just a bit overly proud of simply finishing on time that I kind of don’t care about the circumstances. It’s done. I’m still on target. Again, phew.
Without further ado, I introduce you to my August installment of the MerryKAL.
Christmas Ball # 17: Selbu
Once again I went with the overly Christmasy red + green combination. In all honesty, the color combo has really grown on me. It does not hurt that I continue to forget to grab another skein of white/natural when I’m at the yarn shop. It has been months so you’d think I would write myself a note at this point, but no. I don’t. I just keep knitting with red & green.
And, as promised, back on track with my photo of the whole lot of Christmas balls thus far in 2013.
Check back tomorrow when — as always — the September MerryKAL installment will be announced. Until then, if you haven’t knitted up your Selbu for this month… there’s still time! Be sure to share your Christmas ball with us on the Ravelry thread!
