July Merry KAL Wrap-Up.

Another month, another two Christmas balls complete.

First, Christmas Ball #39: Anchor.

20130728-112923.jpgI went with an evergreen & white color scheme. As pointed about by one of my fellow KALers, the left side of the top of the anchor ended up looser than the right for me due to leaving the float over the join a little loose. I left it in this photo so you could see — it is easily fluffed out with with a little manipulation.

And next, Christmas Ball #27: Rocking Horse.

20130728-112932.jpgFor this one I opted for brown on red. I know some who worked on this ball ended up with rocking unicorns instead of rocking horses. Such a fun whoopsie! In any case, anyone wondering why can check out page 27 of Arne & Carlos’ book — it covers how to maintain the stitch pattern/proper color when decreasing.

20130728-113006.jpgGetting the rocking horse is as easy as knitting through the back loop — but then again, I am a little torn — the unicorns are so cute!

Pop back tomorrow for the August Announcement!
