Today on my needles…

Home again with my boy – his teeth were unfortunately a little worse than the dentist thought, so he had to undergo what is kind of a sort of like a root canal for kids yesterday. So we read & watched tv & worked on a little homework today. I knit on these…

  1. I hope I can knit well enough someday to do a pattern like that! I’m thinking the kid deserves a treat – which I’m sure he’ll get!

    • Oh, it’s really not very tough at all. I often practice the stitch pattern a bit before settling — try different needle sizes and be sure I have the pattern down before beginning ‘for real’. :)

And yes, my boy has been spoiled rotten. My husband and I just feel awful and are bending over backwards to be sure he’s happy & comfortable.

  2. That’s a really pretty pattern — I like it a lot! Sorry to hear about your kid’s teeth and hope he’s feeling well now.

    • It is! I am SO happy with the pattern/yarn combo here. Thanks — he’s doing A-OK and should be back to his new normal after his dentist appointment tomorrow. :)

  3. So sorry about the teeth. My daughter fell down a hill when she was 4 and broke a front tooth. They put a silver cap on it. Of course being a baby tooth it eventually fell out, but it is very traumatic. Poor guy… :(

    • It *is* so scary! I think I am still trying to unwind and I was not the one it happened to! He had the final step of the restoration today, so here’s hoping he likes his new grin!

    • Thanks. It has been a real rollercoaster the last few days, but I am happy to report he got his ‘new smile’ this morning. And now on with our lives. :)

    • Me, too! And finger/toenail issues! As I was applying ice, I am totally embarrassed to say that I had to take mini break to put my head down so I wouldn’t pass out! Even worse, I almost had to ask for a break to put my head down as the dentist was showing and explaining to me what they would have to do. So. Embarrassing.
