Today on my needles…

We spent a fair bit of time in the car today, so I just clicked along. Finished up this sock in 24 hours – it’s sport/DK weight, so that’s not anything super crazy. I am loving the patterning & softness of this West Yorkshire Spinners yarn!

  1. Everything you do is beautiful! I think it is amazing that that yarn comes out so perfectly striped in socks. Does it do that for everyone? Or is there something you have to know… ;)

    • Nope, self-striping and self-striping yarns are made to turn out that way all on their own. Easy-peasy! Many are made specifically with socks in mind, so they turn out just like this with very minimal effort.

  2. What gorgeous colours! I’m working on a pair in ‘Bullfinch’ at the moment, I love this WYS yarn so much :) and it knits up so quickly!

    • I agree! I have Blue Tit here, too, but honestly I wish I had two of each of this collection. Their new brights are pretty neat, too, but I think those are fingering weight.

    • This is West Yorkshire Spinners 100% DK BFL from their New country Birds Collection in the Owl colorway. I had to order direct from them in the UK as I am not aware of any US distributors, but thankfully the shipping was pretty reasonable for international shipping.
